Again and again I have seen that where children meet new things in the context of explore / have a go and then guided discovery; they are developing confidence, perseverance and independent learning. Other strategies can be built on this but if it is missing learnt dependence can result.<br /><br />I really like the debugging progression. I think even the best...Great blog post and so true. I think even the best of us forget at times and allow children to use avoidance techniques.
